Penne with spicy tomato sauce and capers

Before Senior Formal last night, we made it a ladies stay-in night with la pasta (and pretty nails, but that’s not for this blog).

This recipe was so easy! A can of crushed tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, chili pepper flakes… voila’! We just added capers, is all. It seems I’m on a caper escapade of late.

Alone, the pasta might serve 4. But with friends who turn all parties into a potluck, this pasta was accompanied by cheese, crackers, salad, bolani, hummus – and served 6 (girls).

Last note: There is something magical about fresh garlic browning in warm olive oil. This must not be compromised!
