Chocolate hazelnut cookies

As usual, my Florence-study-abroad gang and I were on a mission to recreate a piece of our epic spring in Florence. This time: the chocolate hazelnut “breakfast” cookies of which we had become so fond.

It was, in fact, a particularly great suggestion of Natalie (that we all heartily supported).

We used this recipe, which produced this batch of hazelnut-ty heaven. They were crumbly at first, but over several hours became gratifyingly biscotti-like in density – major bonus points.

They definitely brought back memories of our hazelnut-filled Florentine days…
